Community AdminThat's a strange one, but thanks for getting back anyway.
I have the exact same problem. Bought the game but can only play in single player mode.
Pressing square on second controller pops up "P2 unavailable".
When starting the game with the second PSN account user it says "... connecting to EA server" and the game starts, but also in single player mode. The primary user can then not join the game.
Bought the game for coop, so pretty disappointed about the difficult setup.

Hello, in the original post the game was still in a downloading state. While you can preview the game, not all features were able to be accessed at that point in time until the game has completed the download.

I've the same problem as well.
We've bought PvZ to play it with two persons on a Ps4 console.
I've found the information, that the first player needs a profile, with payed Ps4 plus and the payed game. The second can log in with a standard profile and all modes can used.
But if I try to log in the second controler and choose the standard account a display arrives to buy Ps4 plus.
How can I manage this?
