Ops Mission #2 with Deadbeard is killing me
I am struggling with the second mission in ops in weirding woods where I have to play Deadbeard. I try to snipe the plants but everytime they surround and kill me. How did you do it?

It was pretty bad. Some of the waves last forever which makes it worse when you're out of bots. I had to bail the first time when 2 more Oaks appeared and all my bots nearby were gone. It was the worst one so far, even worse than soloing it as Night Cap in Town Center.
I won with about 45% left on the objective. I used the drone a lot when the waves first spawn as they spawn far away here compared to GW 1 and 2, then switch as needed, using barrel bomb and the shot gun often when I got swarmed.
Barrel Blast is your best weapon. Pirate is weak in PvE because he is a sniper. I'd probably bring in a friend to beat mine.

Make sure to use your potted plants strategically, too.
The machine gun and electric plants do major damage and should be positioned where you can use them as teammates more than defense pots.

I finally did it. Actually in the first try after we talked here.
I just built three bots around me and let the others for later use in case of emergency.
So I could retreat with low life and put a heal station at a free bot slot and snipe from there while the plants attacked my grave thingy. In the end it had only 3% health left. Barrel blast was a really good weapon as well when surrounded but used it also to escape.

For setting up my character i chose the fearless perk and some other heatlh regen upgrades.
