Yeah, aside from their drones, I actually prefer the Cactus (I love mines, though I'll admit I greatly prefer the Wall-Nut over the new hover jump ability), but the Parrot drone is superior to the Garlic Drone in nearly every way. Not just for cooldown, but for ease of use for the drone strikes, too. In GW1 and 2 the slow but powerful strike from the Garlic Drone was great for clearing spawns or stopping enemies from advancing. Now it's not only much weaker, but it fires several low power projectile shots over the course of several seconds, during which you have reduced movement speed and can easily have your attack cut short by one well-placed shot. The thing that makes the Parrot's Eggsplosion so much better is the fact that you can launch your attack and then immediately resume movement and covering fire. The Garlic Drone requires you to stop what you're doing and become a target. Even against CPU I find it rare to be able to get the full volley fired, so I often find myself not even bothering with it when using the Garlic Drone.
The Parrot also simply moves faster, which doesn't seem fair. In GW2, the Parrot traded offense for speed. Now, the Parrot is superior in both.
