The most notable in my case are huge fps drops. For that reason I can not play in high or ultra quality when I should.
Where do you see this issue? If it only occurs in certain modes or regions, please list them.
It can happen at any time but especially when many people join in a small space.
If you monitor your PC performance, what do you see for CPU and GPU usage?
The game occupies about 70% of the cpu and the gpu approximately the same or less, what happens in the game.
8th Gen Core i7
CPU usage 100% nvidia MX250 graphics
16GB DDR 4 Ram
game is unplayabe.
FPS goes from working to like 10FPS stutters and lag
something is very very wrong with this game. i can play pretty much any game i want on high settings but cant get this to work even at a super low screen res of 1280x720
This is getting out of hand I think all players who have the high cpu usage and stutter issue on pc should just wait. If you didnt know they announced looking into it in one of their streams last week so please just have patience and if it isnt fixed when the game officially launches i recommend you refund the game which is what I will do also.
I mean considering they made this thread specifically so we can report the issue... i think you need a break from the forums or something lol. They are asking us, literally to explain to the best of our ability... that's why this is called (INFO GATHERING THREAD) ...
Hi ever since the first PC update to address stuttering I have been encountering a problem where on most loading screens my game will randomly freeze and not want to unfreeze, checking Task Manager the .exe for PVZ:BFN is missing until I alt+f4 then it appears taking up like 100% of my disk, 70%+ of my GPU+CPU.
This issue can happen on any loading screen, even the first one after launching the game and being asked to press space to continue.
I already made a post about this (and I have figured out this post now) but the game crashes far too often on pc, if you launch the game like this then it wouldn't survive for that long at all considering 90% of the time its unplayable.
The stuttering that most people complained about is fixed for me but this update has brought a new performance issue. The game seems to slow down - it makes my character stop sprinting and makes me fire much slower. It's almost like a different kind of stuttering. No crashes on my side.
I have the same issue. The GPU usage drops when it when it happens to like 30 to 20 percent. While my integrated graphics jump high to 70 for just a moment.
I check task manager to see who are using the integrated graphics, and those are programs who normally don't use any GPU powers.
It could be just a software problem on my end but I just want to point that out.
Maybe this latest update has introduced something into our PC's that causes this. Funny enough I don't get the same issue when playing other games like No man's sky for example. Where my GPU is on full tilt. But on star wars Battlefront 2 I think it happened once or twice. Same in Borderlands 3.
