Hey! Just to say that I'm still unable to play Plants vs Zombies GOTY edition since the EA App replaced Origin (we are the 17th of march 2024), even though I've tried multiple times the fixes mentioned. Even some fixes as changing the language that did work before don't work anymore.
Hope you guys don't forget us !
- @ImmenseBeing It's Work Thanks!
Same here unfortunately, it's one of my favourite games and it's sad I can't play my copy anymore.
Hey
I wanted to play Plants vs. Zombies with my new Game Pass subscription but it won't start.
I tried everything discussed in the forums so I connected with EA's Customer Support.
Same thing again, restart, delete cashe, delete EA Service License Files - nothing worked.
In the end, Support said i need to write a post on here so that's what I'm doing.
Any other ideas how to solve this?

Hey, all
Wanted to drop in and let you know there will be an update for this being pushed soon. Unfortunately, it has taken more time than expected because the error you are receiving is affecting more than just this title.
Once the update goes live it may not be directly for individual games but for the EA app itself. This is still being worked out but things are moving forward and hopefully, this just resolves that error in general.
Cheers!
THANK YOU!!!!
Update when i refresh cache and open it its says this

@tajfunek129 wrote:Based on the information provided, it seems that you're encountering an error message stating that you haven't activated Plants vs. Zombies on Origin, even though you've been able to play it before. Here are a few suggestions to help resolve this issue:
- Verify your game's activation status: Double-check the activation status of Plants vs. Zombies in your Origin game library. Ensure that the game is correctly registered and activated under your account. If it appears as activated, try deactivating and then reactivating it to refresh the activation status.
- Restart Origin and your computer: Close the Origin client completely and restart it. Additionally, reboot your computer to ensure that any temporary issues are cleared and the client starts fresh.
- Repair the game files: In your Origin library, right-click on Plants vs. Zombies and select "Repair Game." This option will scan the game files for any errors or missing components and attempt to fix them.
- Clear Origin cache: Clearing the Origin cache can help resolve various issues. To do this, go to the "Application Settings" in Origin and select "Advanced." Click on "Clear Cache" and confirm the action. Then restart Origin and try launching the game again.
- Update Origin: Make sure that you have the latest version of Origin installed. Check for updates in the Origin client and install any available updates.
Contact Origin support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's recommended to reach out to Origin support directly. They have access to specific account and activation information and can provide more personalized assistance to resolve the problem.I have done ALL of those things as well as the other suggestions on this thread. I have owned this game for YEARS and suddenly it gives me the message below a few weeks ago. I try to enter the product key and then it tells me I am not connected to the internet. WRONG AGAIN!
Same, also when i repair and open the game again, it creates the "71592.dlf" file again in the "License" Folder.
