[PC] PVZ GW And BFN Crash While In MP Modes

I have issues with connecting online in PVZ GW2 and Battle for Neighborville, everytime I try to get in multiplayer of PVZGW2 the game closes suddenly and only happens with the online modes because I play solo without any problem. With the other game it happens that it closes everytime I try to play it, I could pass the cinematic of the beggining but still happens. I searched and tried many of the solutions of Steam but none of those helped me to solved, also everytime I checked the files in Steam it says that are 3 files missing and I install them again before running another check and everything okay, but after a couple moments when the games closed, it says again that are 3 files missing. I need help with this, the PVZ franchise is my childhood and I would like to enjoy it like PVZ GW, without any problem palying online.

Hey, @PazthoL1N The team is looking into a few issues with these titles. Right now there isn't much you can do on your end. You can reinstall the game to get it updated correctly, but you may still run into the issue.

At the moment, we are waiting on an update to see what can be done on the backend to get players back into the game.

  • I just bought the game, the game runs fine whenever I play the singleplayer quests. when I get into a multiplayer game however, the game just crashes after a minute or two into the game. after the crash it doesnt give me any error number, any message, or anything.

  • TO BE SPECIFIC THE GAME IS PLANTS VS ZOMBIES GARDEN WARFARE 2

  • I just bought the game, the game runs fine whenever I play the singleplayer quests. when I get into a multiplayer game however, the game just crashes after a minute or two into the game. after the crash it doesn't give me any error number, any message, or anything. I've tried reinstalling, and changing my account. both didn't work.

  • Playing single-player Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is fine and runs smoothly, but as soon as I go into anything multiplayer or have anyone else in my lobby my game crashes within about only 2 minutes and it doesn't provide any errors or crash reports. I've tried reinstalling and verifying the game files on Steam but even so, the same issue occurs. I just got the game the day before but I'm just confused why I keep crashing whenever I'm in a party with friends.

  • @sweeto77 same exact problem... sad that i cant even play with my friend anymore (we were able to play like 3 days ago, i was even able to play online too until 2 days ago this problem arose)
  • what to do if the game crashes without errors when starting pvz gw2. When running, the anti-cheat quickly reaches the end and crashes after a couple of seconds and throws it on EA. I tried both reinstalling and disabling the antivirus, running as administrator and other methods that I could only find on forums and in steam discussion

The only thing I can find is in looking at the log of problems and stability

The wrong application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PVZGW2\GW2.Main_Win64_Retail.exe

The signature of the problem Name of the problematic event: AutoVerifierV2

    Application Name: GW2.Main_Win64_Retail.exe

I have not been able to find an answer to this problem. If someone knows how to solve it, I will be grateful to receive an answer.

i found a fix (from another user) and it has to do
with an audio "optimizer" thing called
    SECOCL64.exe
all you gotta do is press Windows + R and in the
search box type this "services.msc" (without the
"") and find a service called "Sound Research
SECOMN Service" (it should be at the bottom)
right click it and go to properties and set the
Startup Type to "Disabled" then right click it
again and click "Stop" and you should be able to
    play multiplayer matches
