[PC] PVZ GW2 keeps crashing whenever I use an ability 

Hi, this problem hasn't really been addressed as much except for a reddit post from 5 years ago. Let me explain, the problem I am having is with an ability that both the peashooter and engineer have, that is the hyper and jackhammer ability. Most of the time, when I use one of the abilities, my game freezes, and not even a system interrupt or a warning saying the application isn't responding. My game just sits there in one frame. I'm sure some people had this problem as well as myself. This has been an ongoing issue ever since I played this game on the PS4, even when I switched to PC and got the game not too long ago. I'm not a game expert, but I've been searching for help but with no avail and it sucks because I really enjoy the game and want to grind both classes, but because of a game breaking bug, I find myself avoiding those characters.
