Personalized Rux Sux! - Being Punished for not buying unwanted items
I remember first hearing about personalized rux. Like a lot of things with this game, I get excited hearing about something, only for it to release in such a bad state. And I guess Rux is on that list now.
The Timers are Bad - Items only refresh when you log in, so if you are late by an hour from when you normally play, then you will always have to log in an hour later just to check the shop. It’s always 24 hours.
How to Fix? - Shave an hour off of all shop timers. 23 hours instead of 24. 71 instead of 72. Instead of 7 days, it’s 6 days and 23 hours.
Being punished for not buying PNGs - Honestly, the 2nd worse issue about rux is this right here. A lot of people, like me, have no care in the world spending our small amounts of Rainbow Stars on stupid PNGs. No one cares about gravestones, punchers, and emojis. And you are punished for not buying them. Every day, you wait for the shop rotation to go by and hope that you get a skin or a set you want. But instead, you get THE SAME SHUCKING PICTURES!! It’s insane. These stupid pictures take up slots that could normally go to the items you want! If you want a better chance at getting something you want, you are forced to buy a PNG. And buying a stupid PNG can be crippling with how bad the in-game economy is.
How to Fix? - Just get rid of those stupid pictures. Put them in their own category, don’t let them get mixed in with the actually good items.
You still get items you already own - The ENTIRE POINT of having a personalized shop is to make sure you don’t get items you already own. People who completed the festival’s golden path have the skin at the end. And yet, it can still show up in rotation, taking up the legendary item slot in Rux.
How to Fix? - Just make sure they can’t appear in rotation after obtaining them.
I’m still unsure what’s happened to Legendary Upgrades, so I’m keeping my mouth shut on that one.
Well, there *is* an alternate fix for all but 2 of the issues surrounding rux (the 2 issues being prices, and Lost and Found being broken). And it would require you to be pro consumer, so I doubt you’d do it. It’s called an “Item Catalog”. No timers, no rotation. Whenever a new item is introduced, you can just buy it immediately if you have the RS. You can still sell bundles of items at a discounted price. And you can still give log-in rewards. I mean, making the premium shop good is the least you could do for screwing over reward-o-tron/sticker packs. Otherwise, it’s an annoying wait for “progression” when your progress is skewed because of timers.
