Plants & Zombies Town Center - Tacos Guide and Earning them Effectively!

In this guide, I will be covering the Tacos currency system in Plants & Zombies Town Center. The reason that I am covering both of the Town Centers at once is because the Taco currency and your Taco pool is shared and combined between both regions. I will go through what the Tacos are used for, how you can get them, what you can spend Tacos on and more. You can also trade Tacos in for Coins, so if you want Coins, collecting Tacos is an effective strategy.

What are Tacos?

If you are new to this game, you may not be familiar with what Tacos are. They are the "main currency" in both Plants and Zombies Town Center, and your Taco amounts are shared across both of those regions. These Tacos are important to get as you will need them to fully complete the Town Center regions. You can obtain them quite easily through the Story Mode and from obtaining other collectibles, but they can be hard to get in large numbers. It may also be worth mentioning that there are finite amounts of things you can spend Tacos on, however there is one exception to this, you can also trade them in for Coins, which is handy if you have nothing else to spend your Tacos on.

Ways to Obtain Tacos

There are many ways to obtain Tacos in game. Simply doing the Main Story, obtaining collectibles, or vanquishing enemies in your Town Center region will give you Tacos. If you want some more specific ways of obtaining relatively large amounts of Tacos in a relatively short space of time, some ways of earning Tacos effectively are shown below. Just note that you should complete the Main Story of your region first before trying these strategies, otherwise not all the options here may be available:

• Complete story mode quests.
• Defeat Olds Cool and Blight Cap.
• Start and complete Battle Zones.
• Open Chests located around the Town Centers.
• Complete all of the Ops Challenges, Bounty Hunts, Battle Chests and other activities.
• Repeat activites you have completed, although you will recieve less.

Remember, the Taco system and your Taco pool, in both Plants and Zombie Town Centers are shared around both region, so if you for instance, spend 500 Tacos in Zombies Town Center, you will lose 500 Tacos in both Plants and Zombies Town Center. This applies if you earn or gain Tacos in one of these regions.

Where You Can Spend Tacos

The main way of spending your Tacos is from Sergeant Peel (in the Plants Town Center) or Otto Do (in the Zombies Town Center). From these shops, you can gain some really cool and useful items. You need to spend Tacos to complete some of the Gnome Activities, such as the Gnomoliths, as well. In Plants Town Center, you need Tacos to perform the Plumbing Gig. If you successfully complete that activity, you get a Medal for it.

The Shops and Their Locations

There is a shop in Plants Town Center and in Zombies Town Center. These shops are the main way you will be able to spend your Tacos. Sergeant Peel (Plants Town Center) or Otto Do (Zombies Town Center) run the shops. They are both located near where you first appear in the respective Town Centers. Things they sell include special costumes, victory slabs, sets, maps for collecting Chests and Golden Gnomes located around the region and more. You unlock more items for purchase by getting more Medals, and when you have collected every medal in those respective regions, you will get access to every item available for that region.

Associated Medals

By collecting Tacos throughout Plants and Zombies Town Center, you earn a bunch of medals. By buying items in Sergeant Peel and Otto Do's shops, you will gain some Medals as well. Some of these medals are shared between these regions, meaning if you obtain a medal in one of them, you will automatically earn the medal in the other region, while more of these medals are seperate and you have to earn it for each region. Here are the associated medals for collecting Tacos and spending them:

Both Locations

Remember, if you earn these medals in one of the locations, you will automatically receive it in the other.

• Spicy: Earn 100 Tacos in your regions.
• Extra Spicy: Earn 250 Tacos in your regions.
• Explosively Hot: Earn 500 Tacos in your regions.

Plants Town Center Only

• Take-O My Tacos!: Buy an item from Sergeant Peel.

Zombies Town Center Only

• Tacorganized!: Buy an item from Otto Do.

CONCLUSION

Earning Tacos should be quite easy to do, but do try and complete the Main Story and defeat any enemies you may see along the way to get more Tacos. If you want to get lots of Tacos, try opening the chests located throughout the Town Centers and complete or repeat activities to get more. Just remember that opening Chests is a one-time thing throughout the regions. Once you have earned enough Tacos, you will be able to buy all of the exclusive and useful items, or you could trade them in for coins. Remember that while you have two significant ways of collecting Tacos, they each have separate items you can buy, so you will need to amass a significant amount of Tacos to get everything.
