Plants v Zombies - all purchased and earned characters missing

Anyone else experiencing the issue with characters they paid for and earned missing from their account?  I logged in and only have the basic zombie and plant characters.  Have checked with some other people at a higher level in the game than me (Level 71) and they are also missing characters.

I'm based in UK - just trying to gauge if it is UK specific or a more widespread issue.
