Many hours gone pvzGW2

I know the game became popular recently and i went to log back onto my account. I forgot the reason i stoped playing many years ago was because all of my progress got deleted. I remember it failing to sync many times and back in the day the only thing i saw was to restart from scratch. I played the tutorial and needed up with nothing and none of my stuff. Am i screwed or is there something EA can do. I want to play this game so bad but all my progress is just gone i had almost everything unlocked im not wasting time restarting .im on Xbox.
