EA is boycotting Steam by pulling all of their new products. They are also still beta testing Origin, which is only a slight touch more advanced than the alpha test of EA Download Manager. Both products fail miserably compared to Steam but EA doesn't have to pay Valve 25% cut. In the end, it's always about the money.
It's a 30% cut what Valve takes.
And I'm sorry for all the Steam fanboys but, no, it won't come to Steam.

Origin isn't totally **bleep** anymore. Overall it runs fine and even the Store is accessible these days without loading for 30 minutes xD
I've got games on Steam, games on Origin and games through Battle.net. Just ask friends you play with on Steam if they also have Origin / Battle.net accounts so you can play with the same persons over there too if they feel like it.
If you don't want to buy PvZ:GW because you have to install Origin then it's your loss for a great game here :P
