Have you attempted any of the steps mentioned in this thread and can you include a DxDiag? I removed your previous attachment as it can contain some personal information.How to Pull a DxDiag

sorry for the reply, but I don't see how to POST on this thread. perhaps it is closed? anyway.. same issue for me. tried uninstalling on desktop, and using the discs to load it (since that is how I loaded it on my laptop, and that works fine... also, the laptop isn't nearly as well equipped as my desktop). Tried:
* run as admin both origin and .exe
* clearing origin caches
* creating new user (and I'm american.. so.. no odd characters or anything)
* disabling windows protection
* removing Origin overlay in the game and in the application
My nvidia driver was up to date, and then a new update even hit yesterday and i tried that... to no avail.. ☹️
I think the game is actually running, since I hear the loading sounds. It appears to be more of a video issue.. I know it switches to a really huge lower resolution when it launches, as I've been able to get it to stick and pull up task manager, which is almost off the screen..
Anyway, ☹️ I've attached my dxdiag here. I'm hoping that someone can help me. ☹️

Ok, so I realized my mistake after the post... wasn't thinking about the ASCII characters.. was reversing in my mind. When the realization hit me, rushed back here, created the add'l login, and Voila! Stupid thing works! WTH?! While it's not an actual FIX, it IS a WORKAROUND. Pfft!

I fixed mine but I didn't know exactly what I did cause I did too many things lol, try whitelisting both your origin and your pvz, click the private and public check then click ok. After that I right clicked on the origin app in my desktop and went to properties and and set it to run as a administrator. I repaired my game in origin and went to the PVZBattleforNeightborville.exe application and right clicked that and and clicked on run as a administrator. Hopefully it works but I'm still running some tests to see exactly what I did to make it work so I'll get back to you if I find out

- Search the "ATKEX_cmd.exe" on your system. (Could be under "C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA")
- Move the file to your desktop > Reboot > Test.
If that don't helps, create a new DXDiag and load it up.
