Plants Vs Zombies Garden warfare.

I've just bought this game for my 7 year old son (Bought from Argos)

Got it home and much to our dissapointment it will not work unless he has an xbox live account

I don't want him to have an xbox live account (He is 7 and I don't want him playing online with god knows who) and the xbox he plays doesn't connect to the internet.

If I wanted to connect it to the internet and be able to play the game I would need:

1. x-box wireless adaptor (£59.99)

2. x-box live account  (£49.99)

This on top of the £25.00 game cost - giving a total of £134.98 for a game for a 7 year old.

I am disgusted (and my son is heartbroken)

Can you please tell me how I go about getting a refund as Argos will not accept retrned games that are opened??

Very dissapointed

  • You bought an ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAME? What did you expect? And you can tether your laptop so you dont have to pay for a wireless adapter, youtube it.

The very front of the box says that it requires Xbox Live Gold.

EA can't control how retailers advertise their games, but if you really don't think that it was made clear that this was an online game then you'll have to take it up with Argos further. I think their product description is pretty clear though: (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1818820.htm)

    Let me sum this up

ITS YOUR OWN FUALT FOR NOT READING THE CASE WHEN YOU GOT IT

So quit being a cheap ass and spead 125 euros for the stuff or deal with having your son disapointed at you for life skiper

You can't do anything about this. It says on the box only online. Also you should probably do more research before buying any game is what I would suggest. The fact you didn't know it was an online game shows you didn't know much about the game. When buying games if you don't know much about it before you buy, it's likely you'll be disappointed.

A note on the wireless adaptor, £59.99 is extremely dear you can get them much cheaper elsehwere. Personally I got mine second hand for less than £10.
