Anyone have a "you do not have the correct permissions" message that keeps the game from playing? Xbox 360, we have a gold membership on Live... The holes in the wall are getting bigger from me banging my head against it... While my 10 year old pouts.
I'm in the same boat. My 10 year old cannot enjoy the Christmas present he has been patiently waiting for for months. While I'm annoyed that this game requires online access to play, I'm even more annoyed at myself for not catching the "online only" logo on the front of the box. Anyway, here's my scenario:
My Xbox 360 account is an adult account with full access. I set up my son's account as a child account (he's 10), though I enabled online game play for his account.
I read one post that EA's Origin online play requires that you be 13 years old to play, but I haven't been able to verify. I've also read various posts that the Lizard hacking group threatened to take down the XBox live network "forever" on Christmas day (today), but Microsoft and other external websites are reporting that it is up and running (I'd expect to see more noise if it was down.
To rabthespy17, I'd recommend checking your X Box permissions on your son's account. X-Box settings => Family.
