I'm having the same problem with xbox one. I haven't accepted my rewards yet. But as a parent im not happy that my kid is SOL. I don't have my son as the main account for good reasons.
Just to let everybody know, basically we have to either rebuy the deluxe edition, or we can do as EA or Popcap wants and buy their $10 deluxe upgrade dlc. Sony told me this was done by the developers specifically, that they did not want anybody to share the extra content which is why it shows that you didn't even purchase the deluxe edition on even the main account. It will only show that you bought the standard addition and now you can't get the $10 upgrade. It's a real saddening thing they have done here.

Interesting - and very bad approach to their customers.
Is there any reason to believe the 10$ deluxe upgrade DLC will behave any differently? After all the original deluxe pre-order was a bundle of the game and the deluxe upgrade DLC.
If the deluxe upgrade DLC is available to all accounts (main + sub) then the original purchase was a blatant ripoff. If it's still restricted to the main account then it's not an upgrade and is still a ripoff.
It's a bad treatment of their loyal users either way.

Very frustrating.
I'm going through the same problem here with my version of PS4. I have my main account (PSN +) and my son the secondary.
I bought the pre order just to access the Z7. Nowhere I found the information that this item would be available only for the primary account. I felt cheated and my son is disappointed with this situation.I wish EA rethink this.

@EIKERIOS This information wasn't mentioned anywhere. Look at PRE-ORDER / DELUXE EDITION REWARDS FAQ - it points to this thread and was updated with this information only after the thread was "solved". I doubt many parents would have bought the deluxe pre-order for their kids (who are using sub-accounts) had it been known in advance.
Frankly, I understand EA setting this up as consumables to avoid sharing the upgrades. Having said that, they do have the details of the main account as well as any associated accounts via ea.com and via PSN. Just hard is it to set up these consumables for the specific accounts?
