Personally I think it is too easy now to get tickets.
Whereas for me, ticket attainment has only just now matched my available play time. Up until the introduction of the daily challenge, I was pretty much only getting two or three copies of each event card. If I have a family/social/church engagement, then I'll need to spend gems to refresh my ticket boost, but I'd rather spend gems on packs. So I too wouldn't mind an easier go of getting 4x event cards as that would give my required play some much needed breathing room.

That's fair. And I think a lot of people are in your boat.
It's important that there is a good balance among the different play levels. Winning or acquiring tickets/gems should never be easy for everyone. It would have no value if it was.
The sense of accomplishment is what makes a game fun.
I appreciate that the developers regularly try out new ratios for winning cards/gems/tickets.

We're not really disagreeing on anything. I'll put out there that if, back when event cards were priced 2000-1600-1400-1200, I had suggested that all 4 event cards should just cost 1200 tickets each so that I could get more sleep, you both could have said exactly the same things to me that you have said to @Clarent1975 and me. Nevertheless, because it's a business and because EA/PopCap do a pretty good job of reviewing their gameplay stats (and maybe listen to forum feedback? 🤔), I am fairly confident that the game will continue to hit and tirelessly strive for that sweet spot between obtaining free stuff through engagement and enhanced play through paying.
