"Please Update your Intel Driver" Error

Hi everyone,

So I recently Purchased PVZ:GW2 Frosty Deluxe Edition because it's on sale, and I always loved PVW:GW1 on my xbox. However I purchased the game for PC since i don't play on my xbox anymore. I checked the minimum requirements before buying the game and i'm pretty sure all my specs are well above the minimum requirements.

So I launch the game at first, and I get the "Please update your Intel Driver" Error. At first i ignored it and tried to play anyways. after startup I couldn't do anything, couldn't move, click or even do anything in the Origin Menu. I closed the game and decided to update my drivers. After that, I launch the game again and I still get the error. First I wanted to solve the problem of not being able to move in the game, and I found a topic where someone said pressing "Ctrl + Fn + Esc" works. I did that and it did indeed work, however i have to do that every time i launch the game. I still get the error, saying the recommended driver version is 15.4251 or later. After updating my driver version is 15.4835, so this has me stumped. I have attached both my DxDiag and a screencap of said Error.

Also Despite my specs being above the minimum requirements, I still have to play on the lowest possible graphical settings and lowest resolution to even get 15+ fps (and this isn't the only game i have similar fps problems with)

Thanks in advance for any help.

-JB

@EA_Darko I might have found my solution! huzzah! I contacted Nvidia Via Live Chat, and According to them my problem resides in the fact that my monitor is connected to my PC with a VGA cable that goes to my motherboard, Instead of being connected through DVI to my Nvidia GPU. Tomorrow I will get a DVI Cable and plug my monitor that way instead and see if it fixes my problem of not being able to access the Nvidia Control panel. I'll let you know as soon as i can.

@EA_Darko Do you know if it Will/Should fix my fps problem/s with other games too? Because i should be able to run a lot of games with good framerates on good graphical settings but i usually have to drop to the lowest settings possible or play on a low, 4:3 resolution.

@JBlazzyy Using the Nvidia card should see a big increase in performance for all games.

@EA_Darko Success! it works, I can now access the Nvidia Control Panel. Now, i don't think i need to do the whole selecting thing but is there anything in the global settings i should change? I'll attach some images of the current 3D global settings 🙂

@EA_Darko the games work like a charm! I didn't think a single cable could change so much. Thank you so much for your help & support, despite the multiple obstacles in our path & your determination to solve the problem, you've helped a ton. Thanks again 🙂
