I just finished watching this weeks live from pop cap and at the end of the stream they were asking if you would be for or against having Unicorn Chomper being unlock able in GW2.They have confirmed that UC will be coming to hero's showcase some time as well.Anyway I'm against having this Chomper variant just handed to you, we had to work through one of the most BS leveling up systems in GW1 to acquire this guy. So if he's going to be available to people in GW2 then they should hit max rank in it to get him as it's a lot easier to do that in this game than GW1. If they do go through with making him easier to get, than GW 313 ranks should get something extra.So which side of the fence are you guys sitting on?Are you for an easier way to get UC or against it? and feel people should earn it the hard way.

Absolutely not. I've said it numerous times, but the Unicorn Chomper is a loyalty reward for players who achieved the max rank in GW1. It is a symbol that acknowledges you were part of the Garden Warfare journey from the beginning. It cannot be anything else. Not a coffee mug, not a tool that max your rank further in GW2. NO. Why are players who didn't max their rank in GW1 or think its a waste of time to do so more entitled to something I never asked for...? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the Unicorn Chomper and love it. More importantly, I appreciate the fact that POPCAP and the devs acknowledged the fact that prior there was no rhyme or reason to max your rank, but wanted to do something for the players that did out of loyalty. They did not have to give it a second thought much less create a Unicorn Chomper, but they did for players who went the extra mile for no reason. I will fight passionately to keep the Unicorn Chomper sacred for the players who earned it. I'm not going to let the players who are trying to earn it now in GW1 be lied to either.

I know... there's a lot of topics with this subject, but I have to shareI finally did it, 3 weeks ago I was level 111....So I'm asking why people don't come back and earned it! It's totally possible. Again... I don't have money for star packs....So... PopCap and EA don't give the Unicorn Chomper easily.. This is a reward for our hard work

Well, i will play on words and say that it's already possible to unlock it ! Just have to go back on PvZGW1 and max rank. Period.I didn't grind for it because i was already level 313 a long time before they even anounced PvZGW2 but it was a nice -unexpected- gesture from the devs to the "hardcore" players, inclunding those who max rank recently to get this Unicorn Chomper without complaining actually. And it has to stay that way ! It's not like it was a short time thing, people got all year to get it which is way too much if you ask me.Besides, all the reasons given by people who complain and want an "easy" way for it aren't good enought.- empty slot in the chompers statues > it should only appear when you have the UC unlock- not enought time (life,work,school,family...) > we all have that and yet we've made it- lazyness > well you really think you deserve it ? lol

What do you think they are gonna say if level 313 players get another special after the Unicorn is out for everyone ?! More complains and whining because they can't have it because reasons. It's just never gonna stop ! It has to stay that way, loyalty reward for the PvZGW 1 to the second.

I'm against this too. I worked hard to get the unicorn chomper and now they thinking about just giving it to everyone? What the hell. I did the hard yards to unlock it and everyone else should have to do the same otherwise it's not fair.

If you want him, you should have to earn him same as everyone else. Simple as that. At first I felt he was kinda "meh", but now I think he's totally worth it.

I've been working to level mine up. Only 2 1/2 more until he's a Master. And I have to say, I'm really enjoying him now. You have to learn to work with the warp, but it can be quite effective, in some cases even more so than burrowing. Not to mention Uni's quite the looker. I put a pair of diamond wings on mine; he's just so damn gorgeous! When I'm playing him, I think how lucky for the other people in the game to behold my magnificence!

I wouldn't mind if they made it accessible after a player has maxed out all the other variants.

I say no because they have given ample time and also forewarned everyone that this was coming. What popcap could do is have a sale on GW1 so those that do not have the game might purchase it and then they can do what the rest of us have done....make it to 313. This was called a Loyalty Reward for a reason. I know everyone out there wants it but lets face it time to buck up and earn something 🙂 its not difficult yes might be a little time consuming but once you get going its not bad at all.

Unlock it in GW2 with max rank (level ALL characters, except UC, to max). Besides, GW2 has the LOW drop rates for non-party legendaries.

I couldn't agree more. Pop cap should focus on fixing the crappy gameplay in GW2 and stop worrying about this of all things. Furthermore, why is the concept of EARNING something so foreign to people who play this game? Not everything is handed to you, People. You aren't entitled to stuff just because you want it. And if it's not worth your time or effort, that's fine too. Not having th Unicorn Chomper doesn't make you less of a person. It just means you have different (and probably saner) priorities than those putting the effort in for the UC.

I'd much rather they make it easier to get the Infinity Time stuff, or make sticker packs give out Legendary Character stuff one every 1000 times or so. Heck, I'd settle for just getting a reasonable number of consumables. This game is so stingy it's ridiculous.

Not really a fan of exclusive content in video games, personally. But I understand the appeal. I don't really care one way or the other, but its not entirely exclusive, as in people can still acquire it, so I say keep it that way, at least for the year they gave to get it.

Nope. Leave him as an exclusive. I got to 313 on the 360 (and would have done it on the One till I learned that you only needed to get there on one console) and felt like this was a good reward for doing the endless and tedious grind to get there. He's not really very exclusive if he comes to the Hero showcase. Now he may not be the greatest Chomper ever but he is a UNICORN one. As in, rarely seen and it's awesome when you do. I have seen maybe a handful of them in MP and it's cool when I do. Seeing more of them will kind of kill the feeling of them being really rare, at least to me.

There's one positive to this.
One person asked if they could ever buy UC as DLC and he got shut down straight away with a no.
However like I said if you want this Chomper in GW2 then you should have to reach max rank in it. If they choose to make it easier then that I expect 313 rank people to get something special and exclusive. Like idk how about my golden cactoos skin from GW1 that I miss the most in this game.
