"as far as giving the game away for free; I probably wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that."
actually that part i did find to be true its part of ea access thats on xbox 1 ONLY so pvz gw2 is going to be free on august 30th which is bs for us ps4 users as all we get is the half off price tag aka 30 for the normal game and 35 for the delux edition which is the only reason im bothering even rebuying this broken game that and ive seen that they are actually TRYING to balance characters based on REAL issues not what a bunch of noobs are crying about cause they die to something a lot but levels still need to be redone from the ground up
in its current state the most this game is worth is 30-35 again the only reason im rebuying the game after getting my original 60 back a few months ago when the lack of hit detection glitch was around that and not even gamestop is even selling used copies for under 50 bucks lol
EA Access is a subscription service unless I am mistaken, so technically you aren't getting access to the game for free.
As far as the state of the game is concerned, I picked it up originally at launch but I sat it on a shelf and didn't bother even trying to play it for about 3 months. I simply don't try to play AAA shooters until they're at least a good month or two old because damn near every one ships out with issues of some sort, whether it's connection issues, glitchy game play or balance issues; by the time I actually started playing it they had ironed out just about everything except for the team balance.
As far as the game balancing is concerned, I can understand the issues they're facing considering that we've got two teams of 7 asymmetrical character classes with a total of 100 different character possibilities. If both teams had access to the same classes with the same abilities balancing wouldn't be so difficult but I think the game would lose some of its uniqueness. I was glad to read that the balancing updates are based, at least in part, on actual objective game data and not just subjective complaints from players.

i mean to a point they are taking there balancing issues from the player base but it seems they are also looking INTO said character to deem if it needs a nerf a buff or nothing at all take chompers for example ive seen so many kids cry that hes op yet pop cap hasnt touched him if anything they been buffing the one that needed it the most chomp thing so that shows me that pop cap listens to the commun ity but at the same time doesnt just BLINDLY listen and actually put there own research into said character(s) before deciding what to do with them

I agree. With all the complaining about Nerfing this character or Buffing that character I had a few moments where I feared that the developers were acting based on complaints alone, so when i saw notes accompanying one of the more recent patches about analyzing various character aspects it gave me a lot of relief that they weren't blindly responding to people trying to protect their favorite character or who simply didn't know how to tackle a particular character on the opposing team.
