This is alot of the plants problem at the moment and has been stated numerous times by many people including myself. When Rose was OP most people seemed to play her an AWFUL lot. The side effect was that they have hardly anything else leveled. Where as on the zombie side players weren't stuck playing the same thing over and over and have all sorts of upgrades on multiple classes. That puts them at an advantage. Personally, on zombies I have 3x at master, several super elite, many elite etc etc. Having said that on the plant side I also have 3x at master (Rose - the shame, Toxic Pea and Vampire Sunflower), and alot more leveled up besides. I definitely have more zombies leveled up though as I got stuck playing them for a long time.
If I post a screen shot of Plants winning by 30, does that prove the Plants are OP? Or that Zombies is under powered? Or, does that just show, that during that game, or subsequent games, the people who were in that team, were a better team?
I know of 4-6 people who play together all of the time, whom I've played with and against, where we/they jump from different game type to game type, that regardless of the side they/we are on, we always dominate, no matter the map. In games like that, everyone is going to think the game is unbalanced and the side they are on is OP.
To prove a side imbalance, you need to do it mathematically. Once you get into player skill, team skill, team makeup, and map, then you're at a point where you can't accurately measure balance and are in an area of opinion.

Game is not unbalanced it is mostly on the plants team. I get about 10+ kills on all the modes except for turf take over where i get 50+ kills. I use new characters to raise them up and if i used my favorite character i would always get 20+ in those small games and 60+ in turf take over. 90% of the time i am the top player with plants or zombies. The only characters on the zombie side that are unbalanced are the imps and the electro brains cheating beam.

your personal skill has no involve with actual world overall balance changes.. you are just too good that you can even win playing a Never Used Variations of a class...
This is not league of legend. No one is complainin he cant raise Elo because his team-mates are always bad and having 55% winrate is impossible.
What are we talking about is the fact playing plants is actually discouraged, not funny, unhealthy and maybe frustrating experience.
Dont happen always, and when happens is always for the same reason.
People do switch team in favor of Zombies, yes everyone realized it.
If you are that good at the game you should have the knowledge to explain us why you think plants are as good as zombies and explain better 🙂
What are you saying is just "im very good at the game and i always win with everything" we have no reason to not trust you, if you are that good we are happy for you 😉
No one is saying you cant carry a game as a Sunflower, we are saying playing as a sunflower (just to take an example) is an unworthy experience and extremely hard? Maybe? - Anonymous10 years agoThe game is not " severely unbalanced" plants are just not as strong overall on offense, which is the issue atm. Game modes like turf takeover when u have a group of equally skilled casual players zerging as a mixed group of zombies will have a greater success rate then the same group of equally skilled casual players on plants side.
This issue needs a few very fine small adjustments to correct. If you start throwing g around nerfs and buffs things will only get more one sided. Some issues I see that could be changed are :
1. Electro brain beam dmg and spread is ridiculous tone it down on dmg some and reduce the distance of the spread.
2. Imps health should be 65 or less, rose was the only reason 50 was not enough before.
3. Captain is incredible all around maybe an adjustment to cactus or something to help balance to that.
4. A shotgun or another close range class on plants. Scientist is devastating in the right hands I'll get vanquish master every time using scientist. Give plants something similar maybe.

I disagree with playing as a Sunflower being unrewarding.
I was playing team vanquish last night and I finally got the vanquish streak boast with Vampire Sunflower, that was also during me picking up people and healing. That was the most rewarding thing for me in GW2. I find the Sunflower extremely rewarding and more so being the underdog. However that's not to say I wouldn't like to see her receive a buff or maybe a new ability to get out of danger.
Although yes in some games you will get annihilated like you have shown OP, no doubt there and it's annoying.
I still think plants game are weakest in Herbal Assault, but that's because originally in GW1 they were meant to be more defensive. They rarely win there, so an offense buff is needed, I'm just trying to figure out which class needs it the most on the plants side. You need something to clear out the graveyard you are capturing.

1. has been a glaring problem, anyone who says the damage on the arc of his beam to secondary character's isn't OP, is as bad as those who played Rose prenerf and said she wasn't OP. The primary target dmg is fairly weak though and doesn't need tweaked. Honestly though, I was maining Electro Brainz from the Preload date, and I wouldn't be upset at all if they removed his ring ability entirely.
2. Imp is a little too strong at the moment. I'm not real sure it's his hps though. I think maybe they should extend the amount of time that he can be killed after he's called his mech. It's not right that as a Chomper, I can get right next to him, and be within chomp range while burrowed, and he can call his mech, and while he's just standing there waiting, I can't chomp him. He should be killable up to the point that it lands.
3. I don't think they should buff any classes at the moment, and feel a nerf on Captain may be a bit premature.
4. I feel that both the Plants and the Zombies should have another character added. I feel the Plants need an up close, AoE melee bruiser (sort of a mirror to Brainz) while I feel the Zombies should get a Crowd Control Specialist similar to Rose. Basically, the Zombies have about 1/4th the CC as Plants, while Plants really don't have a melee bruiser. Both sides should have something like these two to balance it out.
