Push to talk option, Chat Text, and Party Options for other modes besides Co-Op for PC!!

Not sure whos interested in having these options ingame, but as a long time gamer and especially multiplayer games, options like push to talk, chat text, and party options should be available, especially on PC. Theres really no point in playing a multiplayer game when you can't even text chat anyone or have the ability to talk when you want to(voice chat is always on incase anyone doesn't know). The game does have a party option to invite friends but its only in co-op? Why not have it in all the other modes so friends/people can group up and play together? It just doesnt make any sense. If you're gonna port a game from console to pc, you've got to do a better job. PC and consoles are totally different when it comes to standards in multiplayer options(chat text and Push to talk). Hopefully there is a patch coming to correct all this.. The potential for this game is there, lets hope the developers of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare realise this flaw and put in these options for PC. Sorry for the bad grammar!

PC patch progress. Fix for mic always on, added push to talk, stability improvements, added 8v8 mixed mode, add vanquish confirmed mode.

Here is a work around until then:

    - (it will completely disable Voice chats but you can still use other programs like TeamSpeak, Vent, etc... game sounds are unaffected)

    - (there is also software to Push-to-Talk listed if you still want to use voice chat in game)

    1. Right click speaker icon in system tray.
    2. Select Playback Devices.
    3. Select a Playback Device other than what you use for sound output.
    4. Right click it and select Set as Default Communications Device.
    5. Hit OK.
    6. Left click on the speaker icon in the system tray.
    7. Click the icon below the slider on the device you chose to mute it.

Do the same for Recording devices so people don't hear you in game.

To join other people's games use Origin In Game.  Open friends list and right click Join Game.  Opening up a chat window will also display a "Join Game" button.

I seen a twitter msg talking about Party Joins.  They said they are looking into it but Origin doesn't have a feature like that already.. so they are looking into other routes to take.  I'd leave that as a maybe, don't bank on it.  Hope they can though.

I haven't had to many problems joining games with my friends and wife though.  If you had a large group I can see it being more difficult for sure.

Open the friends list (Shift + F1),  "Join Game" on the person already in the server.
