Every character has a counter/nemesis. A group of Roses, play park ranger or centurion, with multi rocket. Works every time.
But don't make rose too weak, otherwise scientists and imps can overrun the cactus and flowers.

Too many aggressive scientists or imps? Burn em up with fire rose, (charge shot) Works every time.
