@Iron_Guard8 This is some really good ideas.
My absolute favourite part of GW2 was Boss Hunts, and one of my favourite parts of BfN is all of the free-roam content. I have always enjoyed doing the free-roam content and I wish there was more PvE content to enjoy as well, especially in BfN (I do not know if I should count this as "greedy" as there is already quite a lot of PvE content in the shooters).
GW1 does not have much PvE content, apart from Ops, if I am not mistaken, but the PvE gets built upon in the future shooters.
GW2 has so much PvE, the solo quests do not last that long and you cannot complete them with other players as well, but they are still fun to complete (and they can be repeated if one wishes). Boss Hunts are really fun to complete but they only appear occassionally in the Mystery Portal and it requires good teamwork. Infinity Time is an interesting mode and you can play with friends and gain Legendary Characters from performing well enough. Seasonal activities are quick and easy to do, and are fun limited time events, but I have not had much of a chance to do any of the activities yet. The Trials of Gnomus can be frustrating but unlock special characters and is worth doing for sure (Torchwood is almost my favourite character in GW2). Ops is probably at its peak in GW2, where you can play as Plants or Zombies (not only as Plants unlike GW), you can choose difficulties, choose maps and locations, there are lots of special and challenge waves and Enchanted Gardens and Graveyards are always awesome to get. Additionally, I also really enjoyed the Gnome content, and I am glad it made a return in BfN. I do wish they expanded on it a bit further, that is how good it was, but still great. Overall, great variety and fun with the PvE content!
BfN and its free-roam content is great and provides hours of fun and entertainment, so are there any problems? Yes, there are, unfortunately! After you have fully completed a region, there is not really much incentive to go back, unless you just want to go back for fun, so the replayability is not there in that regard. That being said, though, the regions are always a lot of fun to explore, complete and have fun in. There is missed potential, and especially if there were reasons to revisit, that would make these already well made regions even better. Unfortunately, while Ops in BfN is still decent, it was an overall downgrade compared to GW2. You can only do up to 5 waves instead of the regular 10, and you cannot select the difficulty or choose where the garden or graveyard goes. There are a lot of other examples as well which means that it is a downgrade when compared to GW2. It is really good that Gnomes made a return, I do wish they expanded on the Gnomes overall, because the only real appearance is while doing the free-roam content, as well as the March event in Giddy Park and the Gnome Puzzle, also in Giddy Park.
Suggested PvE Content Improvements In A Future Shooter
Overall, very satisfied with the current PvE Content in the current shooters. Here is what I suggest in a future shooter how PvE Content can be improved further:
- More replayability, so we can keep coming back to the content for more activities. Daily or Weekly Quests are suggested by me.
- Even more involvement with Gnomes. Gnomes as an aspect is really fun to explore and the activities are fun to complete.
- Even more variety of PvE Content. Always lots of fun to do for sure.
- Even more Ops additions, such as more unique special waves, more Gardens and Graveyards (as opposed to just Enchanted).
- More free-roam regions and things to do there. The PvE in BfN is really great right now, even as it is now.
I never particularly mind playing Multiplayer, but sometimes it is a nice change to do some PvE instead, as it provides for different gameplay and something different to do overall. Hopefully PvE as a whole in the PvZ Shooters will continue to expand, in a potential new shooter. There really is a lot of potential, isn't there?
