PvE Progress Reset Option

It would be nice, if we all had an option to reset our progress in the PvE regions.  This option could be added at the Giddy Park screen (where you confirm your journey to each PvE region).

I enjoy every PvE zone but low XP (for repeating challenges) gives me zero incentive to spend my time in them after beating them once (especially considering the upcoming change to max rank levels and the need to earn a HUGE amount of XP).

I've had more fun with friends in PvE in BfN than anything else and while I do hold out hope for PvP (pending balancing/mechanics/time to kill, etc), I would spend 5X longer gaming on a daily basis, if I could reset PvE regions and play them fresh again.

I also think simply changing the color of the cosmetics (for each additional time an area is completed) could be an easy way to reward people/keep things fresh.

.... struggling to find a reason to stay on the game right now, when I finish my Daily Challenges/Character Challenges.  Love PvZ and don't wanna play anything else.

@spIash_damageGreat idea would love to see this happen.

    Thanks.

If the gnome locations were randomized/changed with each progress reset, I think this could really be a huge draw for the PvE crowd.

  • Extra completions could involve rainbow star prizes. It's another way to get a bit of that currency out for everyone to enjoy.

  • Yesterday evening, my wife would’ve watched me replay a PvE area but I decided to get ahead of my work this morning because I’ve beat all areas to 100% completion.

Really hope this idea gets considered.

I used to live in Garden or Graveyard Ops back in GW2- 10 rounds of variable difficulty PvE got hours of play time from me when I wasn't in the mood for PvP, not to mention the Town Hall special event challenges and launching your Dino or Cat mech into the Gnomiverse to see how many rounds you could survive either alone or with friends not to mention the challenges of the Trials of Gnomus. You could even launch any PvP game mode and fill out both teams with AI and custom rules and mechanics so there was always something to suit your mood and the ability to pick your own difficulty level at which to do it.

I'm hoping that BfN reaches that level of complexity and amount of stuff to do in the game. The BattleChest challenges range from easy enough to do in your sleep to the AI of your team making them frustratingly difficult and the current form of Ops is jokingly short and easy. I miss seeing a triple Yeti or triple Super Bean Super Boss Wave in GW2 OPs and knowing that we had a real challenge to overcome- we shouldn't be shrugging off BfN's Elite Ops Bosses and quadruple Boss spawns as easily as we can right now.

The one area where BfN is meeting expectations is in the puzzles and hidden things- finding the Fishing Friend and hidden map section in Giddy Park was exciting and finding the Golden Gnomes and solving the Diamond Gnome puzzles in the open worlds were great.

  • Create an alt acct. I did it gw2 when I hit 5455 then did it again. The story mode and Gnomus trials where fun 3 times. I have not spent much time in PvE regions but if that is your thing I am sure it would be fun. What ever your tag is just put the number 2 behind it and tell the ones you play with the most.

I have 4 accounts in my household but that’s not the point and sure not a remedy/formula for retaining a loyal crowd.  Eventually MANY people will avoid PvE regions unless more activities are introduced to them or they’re able to be reset/replayed.

The suggestion on my part to those in charge was made because it should be an easy implementation/require fewer man hours than building new maps altogether.

Also shouldn’t have to pay for an alternate account to play PSN.

I'd be behind this. I actually wanted to replay that intro mission in GW2 once in awhile as I hearing the Sunflower happily exclaim 'Ta da!' never gets old.

Adding some variability to the free roam zones would be cool too. Like move mob spawns so we don't encounter the same groups all the time for example. I'd love for random events too, not just the skirmishes, but more reasons to visit the zones as it's obvious a lot of time and love went into them.
