PVP and Gameplay Feedback
Most of my experience comes from Turf. I have also played smaller game modes where imbalances are easier to notice. Movement: Walking while shooting is too slow. This is especially so with low HP cl...
A solid post @Pheesley , I'll touch on your points as well here.
I really do wish different characters had different speeds. Give the larger, beefier classes slower speed (walking and sprinting) while making the lower health, generally smaller characters a bit faster. This does mean that some small characters can escape more easily and bigger characters will be hit more, but it makes sense and health pools would reflect this.
I can't speak on aim assist as I use mouse+KB with it turned off.
A lot of things could be tuned better if we had damage dropoff. The fact that some classes like Nightcap and Super Brainz have a projectile that either does full damage or zero if the target is even just a tiny bit out of range feels odd. This would allow them to make other damage adjustments to classes like Soldier and Kernel Corn so they feel a little better at closer ranges but not too good at long range.
I like that the Citron and All-star shields are different but both can help the team. I do agree that the All-star shield may need a buff but there's the problem of shield stacking that can be super annoying to deal with.
All-star's charge just feels weird in BfN. The animation doesn't always match up correctly and it can appear you went so far and then suddenly lurch back after hit registration. I'd like them to get it so that it's function and appearance would line up better. As for imp Punt, it too feels 'off', it's hard to put into words but I'm pretty sure most people that play the class know what I mean.
Oak and Space Station really need to be brought closer together in line, especially as you point out, the instant transformation of the station inflation. Personally, I think Acorn tree top riders should get their armor back. As for the station shields, they were too good before, 3 of them stacked was a major pain, a slight rebuff might be ok though.
I don't like any invulnerable characters able to contest points at all, so I think any such ability should cancel your ability to advance/block points and cart movement until it runs out. The Scientist insta-warp does feel good to use, but with 3 warps it does seem like they escape too often, too easily. The health regen while invincible upgrades of Rose and ES do come off as far too easy to escape from being vanquished which is frustrating to play against.
Navel Laser could use an aim, maybe it could auto-zoom if they don't want you to need to use another button.
Z-Mech could use some work. The suicide mech is all too common in PvP, especially in TT which is my main PvP mode. Drive it to the point and push the button is too powerful for control points, while the mech itself could use some extra love.
I'm gonna mention Citron and Navel Laser here … how many players actually use this ability in PvP? I think it's an excellent ability being able to deal high damage to enemies with Navel Laser, but not being able to cancel it, jump or zoom in while using it? It makes you a very easy target while you use it.
I think that you should be allowed to zoom and cancel the ability while it is active, especially if a player uses the ability by accident.
