PvZ BfN crash at launch...

So i bough PvZ BfN few days ago in the steam sale, and i have not beeing able to play it. When i try to launch it, soon as the anticheat software ends the load a black window pops up (not in full screen) and in a few seconds later simply vanish, no error warn, no crash information, it just closes whitout a message.

I really searched for a solution throug this forum, google in general, and i found that this is a common issue, i got results about this subject since 2019 at least.... Tried all the suggestions i read like clearing the cache from EA App, running the game trough the .exe as administrator so on so on... And honestly feels like a bunch of other "players" have this same problem without a clear solution...

I have Battlefield 2042 in my steam library, and it launches apparently in the same way that PvZ BfN does, it pops EA App, then the anticheat software, then a black windows appears soon after it gets full screen and the game runs as expected... I have PvZ GW2 in the EA App (the difference is that i bought it through EA) and it runs perfectly as well...

I've uploaded the DxDiag that i saw is often required in older threads...

I'm really lost here, and i would appretiate some help.

    Hi @ToPratas ,

You can try to deactivate all background apps such as overlays (Discord, TeamSpeak...) and EA app in-game: click on the 3 dashes in the far-left corner of the EA app > Settings > Application > Deactivate EA app overlay.

Let us know how that works!

  • Hello, and thanks for your response.

I've done everything i could in that regard... I've deactivated all the apps ands services (only kept the microsoft ones. steam and EA services were running as well). Even the overlays of nVidea and steam i deactivated (wich i think it wont make any difference anyway...)

I mean, dont want to be rude, but in 20 years of gaming and computer using, i never had an issue like this before with LEGIT BOUGHT software... It's a game, it's not meant to give all of this work and troubleshoot to run.

My computer aint that powerfull at today standards... but it should run it with low effort...
