Hi, I bought 2 Pvz discs for my 9 and 6 year old sons laptops. My eldest has tried to load it and somehow he had issues with the first authorisation code so he used the other discs code to set up. Now I am trying to load up my 6 year olds and both codes that I put in say that they have both already been used. Any ideas. How I can reinstall one of the disc authorisation codes from my eldest son laptop

Each Disc comes with a CDKey. The CDKey is quite literally "the key", the physical discs themselves don't represent much other than a way to ship data.
A Key is used on an Origin Account. It is forever tied to that Origin account. Games are not tied to the computer they are installed on. That Origin account can be installed on an unlimited number of computers but only 1 can be active at a time. Since you have 2 copies, you should have 2 Origin accounts.
If you activated both the keys on a single account, your best course of action would probably be to contact EA here:
