I actually just tried to fix this and it seems to only be a visual bug I closed the game and reopened and got the xp I earned in multiplayer hopefuilly this helps!

@Kyutariii It's not just a visual bug. The character(s) affected show no signs of ever having the XP added to them, meaning you're forced to earn it again. As for closing and reopening the game--I have tried this too, but it seems inconsistent and doesn't always fix the issue.
