PvZ GW crashes just before match with "DirectX function Get....

Hello, my previously running copy of PvZ GW has now stopped working. It crashes every time just before I start a match (doesnt matter which kind). Error message is "DirectX function GetDeviceRemove...

Have tried:
-Intel and Nvidia drivers uninstall
-reboot
-install latest Intel
-install latest Nvidia
Same error
-cleanup of drivers
-install latest Nvidia
-install latest intel
Same error

Have tried mapping PvZGW to Nvidia card in Nvidia Control Panel
Same error

Can't really try with all possible combos of Intel and Nvidia drivers...

Isn't there a configure file for PvZ GW that controls Graphics usage?

No file associated with PvZ can do this as far as I'm aware.

Perhaps try clean wiping the drivers.  Install both the Intel and nVidia drivers provided at the computer manufacture's website for your exact model.

Make sure to set PvZ.exe -> High Performance Processor in NCP 3D properties.

If it works to atleast enable the nVidia card (even if it crashes with a different error or has artifacts)  Perhaps updating the nVidia drivers will still allow it to work.

perhaps you can monkey with nVidia Inspector (it's nVidia Control Panel on steroids is best way to describe it)
