I’m trying to transfer my plants versus zombie hero game/save data over to my new iPhone.
I read I need to link the game to my EA account, however, the Settings page in my game is missing the Link to Account button.
Help?

You are correct that you normally need to link your game to an EA Account to manage your save data. The most common reason for the "Link to Account" button to be missing from the settings is that the account was registered with an age that classifies it as an underage or child account. For player safety and to comply with privacy regulations, online features like account linking are disabled on these accounts.
Since you are moving between two iPhones, your primary method for transferring data is Apple's Game Center.
Please go to the Settings on both your old and new iPhone and make sure you are logged into the exact same Apple ID and that you are active in Game Center. Often, just by being logged into the correct Game Center account on your new device, your save data will transfer over automatically when you install and launch the game.
If your progress still does not appear, you will need to contact our support team. They are the only ones who can look into your account details. Please try to find your Player ID from your old device (usually in the settings menu) as this will be critical for them to help you.
