PvZ Input Lag

I have a very capable computer that I just built. I can play any other game fine. This game has terrible input lag. Sometimes as soon as I enter a game, sometimes it takes a couple minutes. It gets so bad that I can make a lot of moves, then let go of the mouse and the character continues to move for another 2-5 seconds. As far as my pc, I have a windows exp score of 7.8. So it is not my system. Amd CPU at 4.7gig, EVGA gtx 970 ssc GPU, and 8 gigs of ram. Thank you for any help you can offer on this problem.

If you have any overlay software like RiviaTuner, Fraps, TeamSpeak Overlay.  Disable it.

RiviaTuner can be tweaked to work by changing it's detection mode to "none".

    Try a Clean Boot

Try unplugging any unneeded USBs possibly?

Try resetting nVidia Control Panel's 3D Properties Global.  Don't re-run GeForce Experience's auto-config tool if you use it until you test.

Disable VSync  (doubt vsync makes input lag that bad though)

Thank you for the quick reply. I will try these tonight and let you know if any worked. I do run TS3 so I will keep it off for now as well.

TS3 shouldn't cause it but it has an add-on that puts an overlay on the screen so you can see who is talking etc.

Worth a shot testing without TS I guess but I've never had problems with voice programs themselves.

Oh ok, I do not run an overlay of any kind.

You can try disabling Origin in Game from the origin client.  Either from settings or by right clicking on the game icon.

Usually it's overlay programs that cause OiG to act badly (usually terrible frame rate).  Atleast it would narrow it down if OiG has anything to do with it or not.

I am not having a frame rate problem.
