I wish EA would support the PvZ games better. It's a popular and beloved IP and yet it's in such an odd place.
I got the original back on Steam when PopCap was still independent and on my phone later and that game, since it doesn't have MTX or live updates has been solid and fun for many years.
PvZ2 was fun and the first thing I installed on my smart phone when I finally got one, but haven't touched it in a couple years as they focus on the battle mode and there's blatant cheaters there, and of course too many plants that cost real money.
Heroes was so good at first and I loved the PvZ take on games like Magic: The Gathering. But that game lacks support and I haven't touched that one in years either. It's sad as I love the concept and it hits 3 of mt favorite things (board/card games, video games, and PvZ).
For the shooters; even on PC it's not difficult to get decent matches on all 3 games, even the original GW which is 7 years old! And yet, BfN got cut off abruptly, GW2 has too many hackers on PC, and their servers were a mess this weekend, especially in BfN. There is obviously a large audience for the shooters so the lack of support and/or announcement of a new game is frustrating and mind-boggling.
PvZ3 was not well received and while some of the ideas didn't sound bad, the presentation wasn't the best and I'm curious to see how it changes when it's re-leased.
I saw a survey on the RPG and I was kind of iffy on it, but now it may never see the light of day, and I'd at least give it a look as it's PvZ.
I admit that what I really want is a new shooter that has support for years and has a ton of stuff to do, characters to play, better netcode (so we don't have so many hit detection issues), functions better, and is better balanced, and promoted.
