PvZ worlds
One thing I was going to add to @TheSprinter85 's post on how to improve the franchise, but I feel it’s worthy of its own thread, is how GW2 and BfN create worlds to play in that go beyond the simple...
@Iron_Guard8Gw1 lacking solo play is the main reason I don't go back to it over 2. Though I will say that they nailed the aesthetics of the maps and that's why I wanted something like the backyard so badly.
The potential of pvz is unrivaled if they simply used it. Fighting across time and space gives the series so many possibilities for maps, characters, and modes. I feel gw2 was the only one that got close to this with stuff like infinity time and the gnomiverse. Super brainz even said there was a multiverse in his questline. Maybe an alternate universe questline where zomboss is the hero and plants have to work with him.
I hope in a gw3 we get a improved backyard battleground. With tutorial areas, a zen garden, selectable AI to appear on the battlefield (an army of karate zombies vs an army of roses), summoning AI allies to follow you around like in ops, and a larger map.
One thing the backyard did so much better than giddy park was aesthetic. The plant side is sunny and well kept with a base made out of trees and hedges while the zombie side has dark skies and decayed with radioactive materials and trash running rampant while the base has gothic architecture laced with technological enhancements. The world is divided and it's represented perfectly by a globe in the side of a map with a crack right down the middle.
