PvZ2 error recommended driver is xx.xx.154251 or later...

Hello I wonder if you can help me. My son has a Toshiba Laptop Satellite C50-B-14D running Windows 10 64bit. I am trying to run Plants vs Zombies 2 which he bought yesterday on Origin, but we get a error message 'Intel driver version 10.18.10.4276 08/17/2015 00:00:00. The recommended driver is xx.xx.154251 or later'. I have used the intel utility but it says that Toshiba have specific drivers so they cannot install a new one. I installed all Toshiba 10 driver updates but it still doesn't work.. I think I need Intel Graphics Driver version 15.33.43.4425 but I cannot install it unless I uninstall the Graphics on the laptop from Toshiba but I am worried I will ruin his laptop, any help? I am at my end point now

    Thank you both so much, I am going to go for the refund option as I think that is the best way forward.  Looks like I will be buying an Xbox one at Christmas!

    @Artiquannar

    Everything Andy said is right.

    If you want to update your Intel drivers from Intel this is how (2 ways):

    - Uninstall the current Toshiba/Intel drivers from Control Panel.  Restart.  Now the generic Intel drivers will likely install fine.

    - If not you can use the ZIP method.  http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html  You will need to locate the right driver package for you and download the ZIP version for this to work.

    Some higher end Intel IGPs can "run' the game, might not play the best but they can run it.   I googled your laptop model and it looks like it probably has a Celeron in it ☹️  I do not believe it will be able to play.

    Ideally, you need a gaming computer (regular computer with a medium-end Graphics Card) for best performance.

    You can request a refund here:

    I have this same issue with not being able to install the needed drivers.  When I try for the refund it says the game is not eligible for a refund.  I started the download on June 13, 2016, but did not actually launch the game till June 14, 2016.  Is there anyway I can still get a refund. We are not able to plan the game at all.

  • when i disabled my intel(R) driver i didnt get the error but the game would run 1fps basiclly. UNPLAYABLE
