PVZGW2 random freezes

so i've started playing plants vz zombies gardenwarfare 2 on this new desktop i just built and for some weird reason every single time i play plants vz zombies garden warfare 2. my entire system becomes a laggy mess! it doesn't do it with any other game, just plants vz zombies garden warfare2. how do i fix this? the freezes are very often and key pressing doesn't happen to register during those two-five seconds freeze spikes. my temps are fine, my cpu, gpu, and memory utility is fine and i'm not rubberbanding due to network issues.. i need help because on my laptop i used to have, it NEVER did this and this rig is like 10x more powerful than that laptop. i've verified the files through the EA APP i've uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game. i've tried changing graphics and sync levels. i don't know what to do now.
