8 years agoPVZGW2 update problem
My son is trying to install the capture the taco update, on our Xbox One and it keeps freezing. We turned it all off and reinstalled the entire PVZGW2, but it still freezes- now at 86.3%, 27.08 of 3...
Exact same issue @ 27.07 GB of the download. Have run all the standard procedures on the Xbox one support site as others have suggested downloaded fresh 4X.
At this stage I can only assume it's a bug that EA or MS has to fix.
Have been trying to find a way to speak to a person at MS to trouble shoot, but the virtual agent just loops you back to the same original support page after it runs out of suggestions.
Anyone know how to get a hold of a real person at Microsoft to try and resolve this?
Here's what the EA live agent is suggesting. I'll post the results as soon as I have completed.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Settings > All settings.
Select System > Updates.
Select Console update available. (Turns out I did need a 411MB Xbox System Update)
After update process:
`Clear alternate Mac address:`
1. Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternative Mac Address > Clear
2. After this shut down the console, disconnect the power cord from the back of the Xbox One and wait two minutes.
3. Once the two minutes have passed, plug the power back in and wait for one minute.
4. start your console.
If console is wireless, Go to Settings > Network > Select their Network > Disconnect.
Once it is back on, press Menu button > Settings > Blu Ray & Disc > Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage three times.
Finally - Power Cycle Modem
Unplug the power cord from the back of the modem and off the button.
Unplug the power cord from the WiFi router.
Wait 30 seconds, and then reinsert open the button and reconnect power to the modem.
Allow at least 2 minutes to ensure that the reset is complete. Your modem’s connection lights should be solid (not blinking).
Reconnect the power to your WiFi router. Allow at least 2 minutes for your router to finish powering on.
Thanks Ridgbax and Atlas.
The 411MB update appeared on my system the night after I posted previously. I know for certain that it wasn't there beforehand as checking for updates was one of the troubleshooting steps I had already performed.
There has been no change for me either after the XB1 update was installed.
Didn't work here either ☹️
