Rainbow Star Packs

I'm surprised no one's discussing this yet, so I thought I'd start a thread.  400K coins for 30 rainbow stars.  600K for 50.  I forget what the lowest value pack costs and offers. Do you think the...

    The 50 star pack is 600,000 coins so you can open a chest that has THREE items.  That means you can get a taunt, a GW1 hat and a zombie beard for 200k each.  Let that sink in for a second. When is ANY accessory or hat in the game that worth much?  Rux who also has classic accessories and taunts sells them for 50,000 coins.  See a problem?  I do.  I'm a max rank player here just doing numbers.  I have too many coins to care or worry about not being able to afford these.

    Low level players hopefully don't get suckered into this pack not knowing what rainbow stars are for and what they think they are getting.  Its far too many coins for someone still unlocking variants.

That sounds extremely over priced for something you can just grind for which they don't even take that long to do. Probably takes up to an hour at most total just to open all the chests and get back up to 50 stars.

Sounds like the pack is mainly for extremely lazy people that don't wanna play the game or the portal mode and have the coins to spare but that doesn't justify the price for them.

    I don't like the ability or idea to buy Rainbow Stars with coins, it will encourage people from not playing in the Mystery Portal and therefore decrease the number of people who already may despise the actual Portal event.

    I would rather trade in Rainbow Stars or Gold Stars for coins.

      I said I would write a post later, but it seems like just about everything to be said on this pack has already been said.  I accepted Ironcatfish's post as a "solution" to pull it to the top of the thread, because I couldn't agree more.

      I bought the rainbow star pack because I have no motivation to compete in CVD.  I just find myself dumpster diving each round.

        Personally I avoided Cats v Dino's because investing time in it didn't benefit any characters with XP and the PvZ Coin rewards tended to be minimal, although I did miss opening the Chests.

        Now that I've hit maximum Rank the only real goal left is accumulating all the customization items so I'm back to playing CvD and the Rainbow Star Packs don't interest me for the cost involved but if I were still grinding character levels I might take advantage of them if I had the spare coin.

        As it is however I'll save my coins for Rux's Shop.
