Rainbow stars again
Ok it doesn’t seem like it’s possible to collect everything any other way than buying rainbow stars. Strong arming your players like this isn’t good. And the coins... still worthless. Why haven’t ...
It is possible to collect everything. There’s lots of way to get tons of experiences, go on hunts for example or start a skirmish.
@djbon3saterp Agreed, more rainbow stars would be very nice! The developers already took a step in the right direction by giving players an extra 20 rainbow stars (by working for them). But maybe there should be another way to convert currencies such as coins into rainbow stars. Similar to how you can convert PvE currency into coins. Maybe they could do something such as 1 million coins = 10 rainbow stars. I know that sounds like a lot of coins for a little amount of rainbow stars, but it will really benefit those players which loads of spare coins, and there will still be plenty of players who buy rainbow stars for prize bulbs or Rux customisations! 🙂
@SockReverieYou get rainbow stars from for the prize map with prize bulbs. You’re not supposed to collect everything from Rux. It is possible to collect everything, but it’s not something you should want to do. You already get 150 rainbow stars without even needing to spend prize bulbs on them.
Saying it’s impossible is just over exaggerating, and it doesn’t matter at all because you’re not supposed to collect everything. There’s no way to even track what you have like in GW 2 so why would that matter in the slightest. This post is just silly. complaining because there aren’t enough FREE premium currency to buy everything you want, saying you’re going to quit because you’re not given enough free stuff even though the prize map is literally free and gives you even more free premium currency. It’s just extreme over exaggeration.
”This just feels like a bully stealing your lunch money” ah yes, when the “bully” is polite enough to say “hey I’ve got some pretty cool stuff if you’d want to exchange your money for it. Oh but hey I’ll even give you some free money only because I want you to be able to afford something eventually in case you’re too broke to buy it on your own!” What a joke.
@ZediooThere is a way to track what you have in GW2? It’s called the Stickerbook. (edit: I misunderstood what you said about the stickerbook)
It’s not about not collecting everything from Rux within a few weeks, nobody wants to do that, it’s about being taunted with rotating new customizations every day, three days, and every week. For F2P players, if you were to decide you’d like to purchase one 600 or 800 star set/costume or a 1000 star legendary costume, you’re back to square one and have to wait several more weeks to get anything major, as well as the many emotes and victory slabs/punchers up for sale that some people would like to purchase as well.
Nobody wants to burn Rux out of all his customizations, but people want to feel like they have a CHANCE of getting something they want at a reasonable rate, especially if they’re going to be pouring all new cosmetics into Rux from now on instead of Mr Reward-o-Tron. Perhaps there will be rainbow star rewards for Battle Arena Ranked, but right now you’re very limited in what you can purchase if you’re a F2P player.
This is coming from someone who has poured a pretty penny into both GW2 and BfN. Not all of the kids who play this game can purchase rainbow stars, and not all of the teens/adults want to spend their money on it. If they’re not going to improve the rate at which we gain rainbow stars, then they need to do something with the MILLIONS of unused coins that so many people have at this point.
