Rainbow Stars Should'nt be Locked behind the High ranks

Firstly, I don't really play Battle Arena because the waiting times for that mode (for me) have been far longer than any other game mode and I like to spend my limited play time actually playing rather than waiting around for players to join so that we can start.
Having said that, the entire purpose of providing players with a Ranked experience is to elevate the better players. Every game which I have played which offered any sort of Ranked PvP experience always provided a better reward to the players who placed in the top tier while lower tiers received lesser rewards or no rewards at all.
The Ranked play environment, in any game, is one where you should naturally expect that not everyone is going to receive an equal reward or even any reward at all if you aren't one of the better players.
- @realitysquared The issue is that for some reason, only the 5 highest ranks provide any rainbow stars, and before that it’s just... an unreasonable amount of coins. Like, 300k-500k coins. Are they planning on doing anything with coins at all or are those just throwaway rewards? The only worthwhile currency as of right now is Rainbow Stars, and the max rank only grants 250 a month (assuming one season is one month).
- @SockReverie I've played since the update but haven't even peeked at Ranked Battle Arena as of yet.
It is somewhat odd for them to dump large buckets of coins on players when coins become useless after less than 6 months of reasonable playing and less than 2 months of heavy daily playing.
I would expect that there is a likelihood of seeing the rewards tweaked in the coming months since this happened with the Weekly Challenges as well. It could very well be that by Summer time a larger spread of increasingly smaller Rainbow Star rewards replaces the coins.
I believe that I read that a Ranked season is one week and not an entire month. - @realitysquared If a season is one week, then that would be a good amount of rainbow stars for the max rank, but most of the ranks still only grant useless coins
