Re: Can we finally get falloff ?

@Lybry_Book I understand, but they are some characters that have had their projectiles been cut in accuracy and their drag velocity e.g. electric slide is extremely inaccurate, nightcap has descending shots.

We really need damage drop off for non-snipers and sooner rather than later. It makes so much sense in these kind of games and is a huge balancing factor as well. One of the best ways to differentiate the optimal engagement range for different characters is to tune their damage drop off; close range fighters can have their damage reduced rapidly as they attack someone further away while mid-range characters could have a smoother damage fall off curve. It would be a huge improvement to the game and make PvP far more balanced and fun.

  • @Iron_Guard8 Exactly. It then makes each class more differentiable than the other, because so many characters have a higher dps than the snipers long-range, so what actually is the point in snipers. I think, deadbeard, cactus, 80s (fully charged) and rose should have no dropoff. Every other character needs dropoff. This allows characters to have a higher ttk, cuz they can't hit insane dmg at long-range, they can hit high dmg close range (all-star doing 8-10 dmg) so the ttk in itself can be GW2 standards. It also means, characters like corn can finally get a much needed dmg buff, so they can do around 6-7 dmg up close, but then 3-5 dmg further away. The devs have fixed healing, and some ttk aspects, but I think (just like the major ttk update in December), there needs to be a major look at ttk on classes with the inclusion od dmg dropoff very soon
