Re: Class Discussion: Super Brainz

@Iron_Guard8Not only my favorite gw2 zombies but one of my favorite zombie additions to the franchise overall.

I remember early gw2 when heroic kick could deal 50 damage and turbo twister could annihilate groups, yikes.

I'd say now that hes in a really good spot in gw2 with his kit focusing around mobility. He suffered the citron beam problem at first but now it's pretty balanced though I could see tweaks to the overheat timer. Turbo twister is a great escape or approach ability but it could use more damage or more danage focused alts like a larger but slower moving cyclone that sucks plants in and tosses them around.

I really miss the high jump from gw2. It allowed him to perfectly manuever around the map but not take advantage of the high ground and dominate as badly as soldier or peashooter. Doing the kick jump was also a really fun way to move around the map and I wish more gw1 maps were in gw2 so I could experiment jumping around them with him.

Super ultra ball didn't change much stat wise but it looks much better in gw2.

I enjoy the gameplay and look of everyone of his variants and how they did a good job differentiating all of them, ahre toxic could use a little nerf and cozmic needs a buff but I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel sastifying to play any of them.

I think the 200 health in gw2 is appropriate as they tried 175 with breakfast and it didnt work out combined with the fact that he's a melee class that has to close the gap means he needs high health so a cactus can't just lay a mine when he kicks over there. Chomper is a suprisingly good counter as well.

Turbo twister in bfn feels kinda useless imo. It doesn't last long and the dps is outshined by your fists and there's an upgrade that knocks enemies away which really only works against you. Especially with the upgrade for 4 strikes which your enemy wont know about until you use it (the upgrade system is terrible at communicating what your enemy has until they use it unlike seeing an electro brainz and knowing he has 5 punches).

Hyper jump thump is allows superbrainz to start the fight in either an advantage or disadvantage with how many plants he sucks in.

I found the shield to be utterly worthless. Its really buggy and attacks often just phase through it and still damage you. Upclose and impersonal was a nightmare for this as snapdragons flame bypassed the shield and gave snapdragons and easy win. It still does a horrible job at blocking damage today.

Regular superbrainz is the worst bfn gonme bomb carrier as he lacks his high jumps and beams and even his shield gets taken away so you have a character who is at the mercy of whoever attacks him.

The new look is nice besides the smooshed chin and the mask not being wrapped around his head. I also preffered the old brain emblem on his chest but other than that I like it a lot, especially how his hair is more animated now.

His punches were a lot more detailed in gw2 in bfn they look like somebody just put a purple tracer behind them.

Turbo twister looked miles better in gw2 as its much more vibrant and has leaf debris flying around where in bfn its just some lines.

Now branium basher.

Why? I love how people say they removed variants like toxic brainz for balance and then give us something that makes toxic brainz look weak in comparison. The charge is too short and the damage is too great, allowing superbrainz to one shot his enemy than follow up with a quick 5p damage attack which also helps him kill another half of the roster on top of godly mobility from it and 120 damage projectile he can start the fight with.

It's just too good and basically gauranteed zombie supremacy at the end of bfn as every match has 5 superbrainz now and you might as well quit the game if you aren't playing anything with health above 175 as a plant.

Really wish we got more superhero inspired missions with him like we did in gw2.

I'd say they'd probably have to go back more in line with his gw2 self if they bring back variants as the beam attacks were uniquely designed for each of them and I preferred his more mobility focused kit. Branium basher needs to be a nerfed variant or buried forever.
