Re: Garden Warfare 2 not launching.

@GRRRML

Is the Origin application installed on the C: drive?  The game doesn't need to be but some people have reported odd things when Origin is installed somewhere else.

-----

Try running Origin as Admin.

---

Try having Origin open and navigate to where the game is installed.  Run the PvZGW2.EXE.

Any attempt to launch?

How about running this as admin?

----

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Origin application.  This won't remove games or game data, just the Origin program.

----

Close any background programs running.  Especially AntiVirus/Firewalls/Etc, if this works, re-enable these and add exception rules for Origin and PvZGW2.

---

Repair game from Origin by right clicking and Repair.

I tried everything except running PvZGW2.EXE, because i haven't got such. I only have got GW2.Main_Win64_Retail. Still nothing.

That's the one.  I called it gw2.exe because I don't have it installed here and just guessed.

    ----

Has the game ever launched before?

You can try deleting Documents\PvZGW2 folder.  If it's never launched this folder probably doesn't exist.

This would default all the settings to stock values.

    -------

Possibly try opening Nvidia Control Panel and defaulting the Global 3D settings to stock.

    -----

Possibly try making a second Window's User Account (with admin).

Sign into that account and try to launch it.

    --------

If you push Ctl Alt Del, when you launch it does it appear and disappear or does it get "stuck" and you have multiple GW2's running?

If it's multiple make sure to close them or restart before attempting to launch again with a different method.

    ----

    Possibly clean boot

In the game's installed directory there should be an \__Installer\  folder.

    Inside is VC and DirectX.

Try running the two EXE's for both as Admin.
