Does the frame rate also seem very slow/laggy?

Try forcing the 8970M to work (maybe it's using the HD4600.. but I don't see any mention of it in the DXDiag).

Catalyst's advanced settings may have something called "Switchable Graphics" tab.  Add PvZGW2.exe as High Performance.

If that's not it.  Make sure have you all overlay programs closed in the background (Fraps, RiviaTuner, Overwolf, raptr, etc).

Try reseting the 3D Settings Global in Catalyst.

If it's still not working try clean installing the GPU drivers after uninstalling them.

The steps:

-Uninstall all Catalyst from CP

-Run Display Driver Uninstaller and let it restart you to Safe Mode

-Run DDU in safe mode, clean amd drivers, restart

-Install latest package from AMD

If you get a BSOD when restarting from safe mode.  Go back to safe mode.  Go to device manager and remove all Display Adapters, now restart normal.

Not really sure what that is but it sounds like it might me some sort of Overlay program.  A quick google suggested it might be On Screen Display for some alienwares.. not sure if this cause problems with Origin's Overlay.
