Re: How’d your boss hunting go?

I only did a round or two this time. I've opened the chests, have the hats, plants all mastered, and am carrying more than 50 rainbow stars so all I stand to gain are coins.

I'm only missing the Squash Scrumptious hat, I have everything else. So, the last few boss hunts I've gone in just to get stars. (A lot less stressful) This time I managed 4 normal wins, 1 craaazy win and 2 fails. All were randoms.

The first win was the craaazy win, 2 peas, 1 vamp flower and me on commando corn. Took me by surprise since it was my first match this portal. I actually died twice before I noticed that I was a bit too relaxed (because I wasn't after the hat) and needed to up my game. We managed to win with a lot of time and revives to spare. It was the type of run that makes people wonder how they ever failed. I followed the craaazy win with another round with 2 of the 3 randoms from the previous round. We did one of the normal wins, I assume for the 4 lesser hats. That was when I understood just how good commando corn was for this boss. (I've never used him on Sasquatch before, only yeti.) The run went beautifully and I left to get my last 2 chests.

The next normal win was the next day with new randoms. This one was hilarious to me because it was 3 peas and me as commando corn. No healer. Our strategy was me on top of the market stand, (opposite the temple) as long as I didn't die they could just attack freely and respawn as needed. We had plenty of damage, and I left to destroy the burgers during that phase. It went very smoothly. (though, one pea seemed to be struggling to find the safe zone)

My last day went a bit more poorly. First run also found itself without a healer. (I didn't think much of it because I've done it before and I know how good commando corn is) Except two things went wrong, first it was on hard this time so I couldn't cover as much damage by myself. Also, we had a basic chomper... Once it was clear we couldn't beat burger time, someone left and we intentionally wiped. I left and went to a new lobby. This time it was set to normal, this one didn't go well either. Though, I think this was the only group who failed out of team inability. It was a struggle to get to the first burger time, which we failed. It just went downhill from there. Once again we wiped and I went to a new lobby.

The last lobby I got 2 normal wins in a row. First run was 2 peas, a sunflower and me. I used my market roof strategy at first until it was clear they were in no danger of death. After that I stayed on the ground and we simply overwhelmed the boss. The next win was with the same group, except one person changed from pea to sunflower. Again, we rolled over the boss. (<3 Commando Corn)

I know that is a lot but it proves it is quite possible, even with randoms. Though, I would be lying if I said commando corn wasn't a big factor. (understandably not everyone can use him.) Overall, even the loses were fun this time. I can't emphasize enough how much more relaxed the boss is when a hat isn't on the line. Less tension means more calm decisions and better game play. (at least for me) Less stress also means more enjoyment, which I greatly appreciate. Just don't get too relaxed... My performance in the first craaazy run could have lost the game.

Anyway, I look forward to the next one. If there is anyone I want to shuck to the face its Yeti.
