gw2 hands down fyi the characters you unlocked in gw1 you can transfer em to gw2 depends. what level your at on gw1 but you can get extra stuff you surpass level 10 and 25 at lvl 100 you get a special pack if i can remember but if you maxed out at lvl 313 you can get the unicorn chomper also you have till next feb to get to said level on gw1.
they have ironed out a lot of stuff on launch day only minor tweeks needed. 49 (ish) new characters to unlock a interactive backyard as a hub and for you to explore and find secrets. server search to find a which is best for you/ find games. a new xp bar so if you keep doing quests regular you can gain a 1,25x,1.5x,1.75x, 2x multiplier and still a friendly community the majority of the time so your kids will be fine.
