Hey guys, I found a solution that worked for me and some others. This was originally shared over at Crash Report Handle EA Anticheat :: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville General Discussions

I found a solution, I had to download EA anticheat from the EA page

  1. Download EA anticheat
  2. Open it and choose the game "Plant vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville"
  3. Click on the repair button and select the folder where the game is installed
  4. Wait for the repair process to finish
  5. Done

I really hope this helps others who might be running into the same error!

This totally worked for me, however, here is something that needs to be pointed out. Initially, when I downloaded the anti-cheat installer I selected the game and just clicked install. That did not fix my issue but after re-reading the instructions carefully, the instructions say to use the repair option and then select where the game is installed, after doing that, it fixed my issue.

    in my case folder game was C:\Program Files\EA Games\PVZ Battle for Neighborville

    Maravilha, isso resolveu o problema :)

    Parece que o jogo da steam fica em um caminho não identificado pelo anti cheat ao referenciar no aplicativo, resolveu! Lwmbrando que na steam você consegue obter o caminho de onde foi instalado o jogo, em configurações / propriedades do jogo > arquivos instalados > explorar

    just right click the direct access for the game and select the option "open file location"
    that, must to open the folder, in case that open another folder with more directs access and not is the game's folder , try again in that same folder with the game's direct access (yes I know, again) ["open file location"] and then you'll have then path.

    I tried this but when i choose the folder it says "invalid game folder". Have i done it wrong or is there another way to do it?
