Regarding the Legendary Upgrades: I imagine upgrades which kind of imitate the variants gameplay of GW. 5 Grandmaster ranks: 5 variants.
Well, being too optimistic again.
Edit: If the upgrades will be purchaseable at Rux only it smells pretty much like pay to win if they are going to be the new meta.
I'm not even trying to guess what they are, who can get them or how they are going to be gained... anything could happen at this point given the past decisions we have seen.
Hopefully we will find out more with Fridays live stream... although its at 11pm here (Croatia) so might be Saturday for me 🙂

Fingers crossed that it's going to be good, rather than something that will divide us. Fortunately, I believe, regarding the Legendary Upgrade/s, they could more likely be sold with Prize Bulbs!
Why? Because remember in the tooltip for buying prize bulbs from Rux last month, they mentioned "Festivals" and "Legendary Upgrades" in the same sentence, before the tooltip was edited. So it is possible that these upgrades will be available from festivals for prize bulbs, hmmmm… 🤔!
I'm definitely interested to see what they will be discussing in this livestream. What the legendary upgrade(s) will actually do piques my interest. It's amusing to me to see so much negativity here as usually I'm the most negative one around (hence my Discord handle 'The Grumbler') but it does reflect some of the issues we've had so far.
BfN is certainly not perfect and it feels far different from both GW games in many ways despite obviously similarities, but I still believe it has solid potential if they can just get the (admittedly serious) issues ironed out. GW1 and 2 are great fun but neither has been issue free (for example GW2 was a mess at launch; when GW1 came to the PC and I grabbed it, it lacked modes and your mic was stuck on with no option to fix that), so while I do feel BfN has a ways to go, it seems to get more ire than it really deserves when compared to that history.
I would love more communication from the dev team, especially here on the official forums, and more details on player concerns in general. This would help set the players at ease in a significant way. I know some games when devs try to increase player input and communication that things can backfire (there are some nasty players in some of these games), so I understand some wariness here, but overall the community here is more constructive and less vicious than most other multiplayer online games are, and a little transparency goes a long way.
I love both GW games but I also highly enjoy BfN, so I want BfN to succeed and grow. At times it feels like it's going to take a lot of patches and more communication on what's going on to do so though. Knowing we're getting a new map soon and a new character not too much further on is great news for sure, but there are core functions that need to be adjusted to make this all work together better.
- @Iron_Guard8 I certainly hope your right, while I don't think BFN will ever be as enjoyable for me personally as the GW series, I think there is still potential there. But how long have I been saying that for?... its been so long...With the road we are taking its just so hard for me to even picture a possible reality where it reaches that potential. I haven't played BFN in a long while, but I still do check in here on the forums with you guys, holding onto some kind of hope I suppose. Everyone here has much more patience than I do, but I think even for them at least a little bit, its just hard not to feel hopeless right now. There certainly has been some low points before BFN, like you were talking about with GW 2's launch and bugs, but I would definitely say this is the... uhhh "darkest?" point for the series, at least for me. I have never had so much doubt for the game's future.. or even for the entire franchise. Of course there are ways to fix this and increase moral around here, like you said, more communication would be great.. But how long have you guys practically been begging for that and so much more? How long should we really have to wait just to see if there is a tiny chance things will turn out okay after all? There has been... absolutely zero progress for the most part. Its so disheartening seeing the forums, and all this feedback really, being ignored, and the devs remaining completely silent when there is such a friendly community here, which is becoming absolutely drained from these demoralizing blows.
Anyways as for the legendary upgrade, maybe I'm just losing it, but my first reaction to this was just to laugh, haha it just smells like trouble. Like others have said I think everyone here is just prone to expect the worst, and for good reason. BFN has gone far out of my comfort zone when it comes to monetization, so there is bound to be some kind of news that I'm not going to be happy to hear, based on past experiences. In the end, its definitely sad to see this negativity (Sorry to add to that with this downer of a post), but I understand it all ,100%. To be honest, I'm surprised everyone here has managed to even stay as positive and hopeful as they are right now! So... its hard for me to say this without doubting it, but yeah, lets hope for some good news on Friday. Fingers crossed with what's coming up in this livestream! 🤞 Wonder if they'll showcase the next prize map for Valenbrainz or not? I'm looking forward to that! 🤔
Really expect some active forum hero to make one big informative post about everything that been said about game future, stream will be at late night so definetly miss it. 🐱
