Re: monitor out of range when opening Plants vs. Zombies

C:\Users\USER\Documents\PVZ Garden Warfare\settings

You can Rename the PVZ Garden Warfare folder to like "PVZ Garden Warfare BACKUP" then relaunch the game, it should create new configs.

Else

You can edit this file with notepad

PROF_SAVE_profile

GstRender.FullscreenHeight  XXX

GstRender.FullscreenWidth XXXX

There is also a height/width for Windowed too if it's in that mode but I bet it's doing it in fullscreen otherwise the window wouldn't care if it's way to big I don't think.

  • Thank you.

    Didn't work for me, though.

have tried both. have also changed the resolution of the PC, tried several definitions.

    any other suggestion?

    Mmm that's weird.

    Okay you can try this.

    Close Origin.

Open your "Origin Games" folder  (ex:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare)

Copy the entire folder, put it somewhere else.

    Open Origin.

    Uninstall PvZ.

    Close Origin.

Copy the Plants vs Zombies folder back to "Origin Games"

    Open Origin

Click "Download/Install", it will skip downloading since the files are already there and jump to installing.

If you have quick internet you can just uninstall and then redownload the entire thing again.

That should certainly put things back to default / autodetect I would think.

    *edit

Or you could try turning Windowed mode on from that setting file from above.  Then if it opens the game you can modify the settings from in-game options back to fullscreen & proper resolution.

  • Thanks!

wanted to try first the other solution (turning windowed mode on) but didn't know how... so I kind of guessed and instead I changed "fullscreen" to 1 (instead of 0) and it works now!
