Re: [Old Report] PvZ GW2 unable to connect to Multiplayer Servers

EA reps, can any of you respond here? PVZGW2 PC multiplayer has been down for days again. Are you aware? Is the problem being worked on?

For about a week now all I experience when I enter the multiplayer portal, regardless of server region, is either a black screen with the dancing daisy for a few minutes and then kicked back to the backyard, or, "Failed to find a match" errors.

Many seem to be experiencing the same issue.

Hello reps, like @EA_Cade or @EA_Cath,

Can you all see this post again? Servers are down yet again, it's been, I don't know, 5 days for PC again. Can you guys figure out a more permanent fix to this issue?  It'd be well appreciated for the hundreds or so players each week that play this game for fun.

  • I noticed something. Last time the game was on sale the servers were broken. Now they’re broken again and the game is on sale. Pretty weird EA…

  • I just bought the game a few days ago and I can't even play lol.. Would be nice to get some response from EA about this.

Hello. At least on PC, European servers are down completely. Yesterday they were fine. I'm getting the  "Failed to find a match" error. I have no idea how servers can work for 3 days then break again... I tried clearing the EA app cache or something like that and it did nothing. Yea I don't know what to do. Might aswell buy BFN, atleast it's servers don't break every week.

@Outfost Yup servers down again, what a dog show. I have no technical knowledge whatsoever but can it be just coincidence that cheaters and hackers riddle this game with impunity and its this causing servers to crash all the time? Or does EA just have crap servers as well as crap anti cheat controls?
  • Hey, your servers are down AGAIN. Please fix and implement a more permanent fix method. This is getting ridiculous.

I've gotten confirmation from an EA representative that PC servers are working once again. Really hope they stay that way this time.

@Big_Fridgie any chance you can ask the mentioned representative what the hell is going on with the servers ,its descended into a farce now. It would be at least nice to know they are trying to do something to get on top of the repeated outages instead of being kept in the dark

@Draigcastell Yeah, I can ask him about it. Although myself and some friends strongly believe the problem has something to do with cheaters constantly crashing lobbies. That forces the game to constantly send a "request" to create a new one, and too many of these requests cause the matchmaking issues.

@Big_Fridgie Nice one !! If your theory is correct about cheaters breaking the servers it would then follow that either EA are going to finally get serious about rooting them out or we are going to be left with a game that will be forever broken 😭 If the latter I can't see how they can continue to sell what will then be an unplayable game
  • @Big_Fridgie Even though too many requests are being sent. Why can't they just make a bot that creates game sessions and closes out all invalid ones? Honestly don't understand why they don't just refresh the servers if the bot connection fails (Makes the most sense to me).

That's very likely the case based on what I know about these cheaters.

  • These hackers have crashed most PC MP servers again. Why don't you just fix the bugs that these hackers are exploiting.

  • @THDNA Just wanted to say Xbox One is working normally for me again and letting me log in normally? I hope pc gets fixed for you guys
  • Multiplayer servers are down again for PC, please fix whenever possible.

Same here. PC, multiplayer, Turf Takeover, all server regions, constant "Failed to find a match" errors...

I have said many times, some hackers are dedicated to constantly crash lobbies so that nobody can play a single complete MP game. Players face constant threats from these hackers until they finally crash the entire server. Nothing effective has been done so far.

Love how people are legit hacking or crashing the game and EA does nothing, yet they ban people nearly instantly for suspicious activity without actual proof.

Good company keep it up. Playerbase is gonna drop unfortunately

These issues are still going on and are rampant right now. Please fix these issues, or look for some more permanent fixes.
